Full time position

Salary £27,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

The World Highland Games Centre in Braemar is a unique visitor attraction on Royal Deeside which is due to open in September 2018. The Braemar Royal Highland Charity are now looking to appoint a Centre Manager to be responsible for the overall day to day running of the Centre including people management, marketing, retail, catering, exhibition and maintenance of the Centre and grounds. This role will be instrumental to deliver a 5 star visitor attraction which tells the story of the world famous Braemar Gathering and Highland Games across the world. The post will report to the BRHC trading arm Chair and will be a co-opted member of the board of trustees.

We are looking for a qualified candidate, with direct experience of managing visitor/commercial services in a heritage or tourist-attraction. An enthusiastic self starter with a track record of success as a leader who has visitor attraction promotion and marketing experience, managed people and budgets. The successful candidate should have the ability to work at all levels, alongside the Board as well as ’hands on’ with team members, and within the local community of Braemar. Well developed time management, communication and organisational skills are essential.
