Patron - Her Majesty the Queen

Our Patron is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. 

 

In 1952 The Queen acceded to the Throne, over 31,000 people attend the games that year to celebrate the start of her reign.

​

Her Majesty has attended every year since then, maintaining the long tradition of a royal presence at the gathering since Queen Victoria first attended in 1848.
